09Challenger's Creations/Conversions: 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500

Hello my racing division friends. I decided to make a thread for my creations that have to do with NFS, here on this site which I am proud to be invited to my the adminstrator. So, my first creation was the 2009DodgeChallengerSRT8, which wasn't that good. Then I made the VW Crafter which wasn't that bad. Well, now, I decided to create a mid-size family car; the 2007 Ford Focus Sedan. Technically, I have had some progress; some of you on NFS cars might already be familiar with this; and now I am continuing. Well, I'll appreaciate any comment or suggestions
*and here is the progress so far:
first week of modeling, of course, Ive adjusted the mistakes as you'll see on the next pics:

oh, and, never mind the line running down the middle, cause its a temporary combination of symmetry.

Looking good. How many polies by the way?

About 800 so far. By the end, I'm aiming for probably 13,000-15,000 polys, considering that it's gonna be in shift and carbon. And I might make a low poly LOD for highstakes.

Oh yeah, and, since winter break has arrived, I might have some update treets for you guys

I have some news my friends. I have started on the wheel, considering it a treet for me because I almost finished the front end. Still, not enough work done for an update, but you guys will definitly get a wheel update very soon

Yup, I'm gonna make the brakes, especially that I realized that after all this good work, it''l look rediculous in a game without the brakes

Yeah we wanna see the wheel from the back side...Because in MW or C or other newer games it would look bad if you don't model the back side & also the inside of the tire & the rim as well...It won't be like the actual & realistic wheel...

Oh yeah, that's what you mean. I made a circle right behind the wheel that is only visible from the back view. The breaks will show infront of this circle in the back view, while the circle doesn't show in the front view Is that good?




**6 hrs. later: Someone on NFScars asked me to post a wireframe pic of my project, so I will go ahead and do that on my next update for. (wireframe pic for wheel & body)

That backside view is good. It doesnt need to be high poly as its hardly noticeable.

Now it is looking quite better now...It would be better if you model the inside/backside of the spokes/rims too...But as it is a low-mid poly version there is no need to model that portion because Roadster has already said the reason...

I finished the whole side of the car and got a little bored from too much modeling; I decided to make a top secret conversion (exclusivle updates will be posted here). This is not my first conversion though, but it will be my first realeased conversion. So, I will be converting the 08 Saleen S331 Supercab from Forza3. It is not as easy as it looks, I have to detatch all necessary parts and then rename each and every single one :\. At leaste it's already textured, but it's still a pain in the back. Well, so far, I have detached half of the hood and the front bumper. Wish me good luck guys

It is mainly going to be for SHIFT. Then I will see what to do with the other games And yes, for both Carbon and MW.

Oh yes, I just realized that I haven't ever answered this questions I am using Zmodeler 1.7 for the Focus and Zmodeler 2.2.4 for the Saleen.

Is the S331 going to replace a car, or is the possibility of adding on possible in Shift? My computer can't run it, so I have no idea what's going on there

How can you convert 2008 Saleen S331 Supercab from Forza 3? It is in my list of conversions.

As per the rules posted here, you have to make a car list regarding the cars you are intended to convert.

You failed to make the thread in the proper proposed format. So I will be the one converting the Saleen.

^ I didn't seem to have found it anywhere on your thread... I even looked at your conversion lists. Can you tell me where the conversions list that talks about the Supercab is?

As for the NFS SHIFT modding, you don't replace cars, you add them.

I am not dead guys, my project is still alive. I am currently having really bad technical difficulties with Zmodeler. I've been working on fixing them for a month now. So, I guess my problem will be solved one day...

If you got problems, then reinstall ZModeler. If that doesnt work, maybe we can help?

My problems are with Zmodeler 2.2.3 and higher, which if download from zmodeler2's website, will come with the installed files, and I can't install or uninstall. Anyways, the problem that I'm having is that I'm not being able to import any cars from SHIFT (vhf...) other than in Zmod 2.2.2, which doesn't have the features needed for moding SHIFT. For the Saleen progect, it's gonna be posponed till the release of Zmodeler3; unless my problem is fixed. Now I think I will continue modeling my focus in Zmodeler 1.7

Only the registered version can import files. Is your copy registered?

09Challenger, why not import the VHF file from Shift using 2.2.2, then save it as a Zmod file & edit it using the newer version?
