Nope I think it is quite possible if we give some ranks to the winners(1st,2nd & 3rd place holders)...If it is not so possible then we can add the icons within the sigs...

"Podium places" (1st, 2nd and 3rd) in this contest are unnecessary, since only 1st places count, and having your banner used as official one is reward all on itself.

But I think there should be a record/list of past winners...Because it is hard to remember their(winners') names forever...& giving them a winning icon or bar would be the best procedure to list down the record...

About the banner, I think the one who comes first, his banner should be golden, 2nd position golder gets silver banner, third one gets bronze one and the place they held in the contest should also be mentioned along with the name of the contest.
