    1955 Porsche 550 Spyder [NFSHP2]

    Post by Insanity

    1955 Porsche 550 Spyder

Inspired by the Porsche 356 which was created by Ferry Porsche, and some spyder prototypes built and raced by Walter Glöckler starting in 1951, the factory decided to build a car designed for use in auto racing. The model Porsche 550 Spyder was introduced at the 1953 Paris Auto Show. The 550 was very low to the ground, in order to be efficient for racing. In fact, former German Formula One racer Hans Herrmann drove it under closed railroad crossing gates during the 1954 Mille Miglia.

And here it finally is, reliving the past and bringing into NFSHP2.

*One color. (Official Silver, existed in RL)
    *NFS Skin is Black Color.
    *Tuned performance, custom specs.
    *Spyder secondary logo. (OPTIONAL)

Install the car by copying the whole of "Cars" folder to C:/Program Files/EA Games/NFSHP2 or wherever your NFSHP2 folder is at.

To install the manufacturer and showroom logos, you need VIVMagic and FSHTool.

    *Open up VIVMagic.
    *Click "Unpack".
*Now unpack "GUIart.viv", from C:/Program Files/EA Games/NFSHP2/FrontEnd. (or wherever your HP2 folder is at)
*Find the .fsh file that's named, "a_logoN.lyr.pcd.fsh" from the extracted viv and use FSHTool to extract it.
*Replace textures "0002.BMP" and 0002-a.BMP" with the ones from the archive under the folder named "a_logoN.lyr.pcd".
*Run "index.fsh" so as to update "a_logoN.lyr.pcd.fsh" file.
*Go back to VIVMagic, Select "Pack" and choose "GUIart.idx" file to pack.

    Beforehand, PLEASE backup everything.

And if done correctly, the 550 Spyder and the logos will replace the existing Carrera GT ones.

    Credits goes out to...
*Riva for ripping the model/textures from FM3.
    *UCN for the brakes/rotors.

    Enjoy.
